- Not a question - just a comment.
-
- ( Sorry if everyone thought I had disappeared and not answered any
- messages, I've been on paternity leave )
-
- I posted a message a few weeks back about using a pascal program to
- detect when all sessions for a CD are reached on an optinet system.
-
- Mark Cain of Xavier then said that errorlevel *IS* set by onet (
- nice of them to document the fact 8-) ). **MANY** thanks, Mark !!!
-
- However I have another problem that Clyde Grotophorst's (George
- Mason Univ) program to check for limit reached has solved :
-
- In giving all of the campus access to the library CD system we run
- the risk of being unable to access the CDs from the library when we want
- to. An altered form of Clyde's program lets us check whether ALL SESSIONS
- EXCEPT ONE are being used. This check is done from all of the campus except
- the library so there will always be 1 session left for the library.
-
- The only problem here is that if a CD has a ten user license, the
- campus can only be guaranteed 8 sessions
- ( Library logs on first, then everyone else logs on but the last
- session is reserved - 8 sessions. If everyone logs on first and the library
- last then the campus has 9 sessions. )
-
- This is not exactly a problem but if anyone can think of a better
- solution ...
