  23. The nice thing about Tahoe is you don't *have* to do anything.  The scenery
  24. is spectacular enough as it is.  A few things off the top of my head though.

  26. Emerald Bay - one of the most photographed places anywhere.  You don't
  27. *have* to hike to Vikingsholm.  It's a beautiful place.

  29. Tram ride at Heavenly - ride the tram to the restaurant at Heavenly Valley.
  30. The view is incredible from the deck.  I think Squaw Valley also runs their
  31. tram during the summer.

  33. Dinner cruise - the sunset paddleboat cruise may only take a few hours but
  34. it does make a real nice evening.  There are several of them available.  I`ve
  35. taken the one out of Zephyr Cove and had a good time.

  37. Take a drive - the drive around west lake blvd is real nice, as is a complete
  38. loop around the lake.  You could also drive over to Hope valley (hwy 89 
  39. towards Kirkwood or Markleeville.  You could drive out to Blue Lakes basin
  40. from Hope valley.  It's about 11 miles, most of it graded gravel.  Upper
  41. and lower blue lake are very pretty.

  43. Virginia City -  Virginia city is a old, old town with wooden sidewalks "up
  44. the mountain" near Carson city.  It's kind of a tourist trap but it's 
  45. quite interesting.

  47. Reno - known more for the gambling but I've heard the Harrah's auto museum
  48. is worth the trip.  The shows are pretty good at the Casinos.  Chances are
  49. you might find a good show at South Lake Tahoe as well.
