  12. My parents (in their early 70s) will be visiting from New Jersey
  13. in about a week. They will be with me (in Sunnyvale) for two weeks.
  14. During that time, it will be their 45th anniversary.

  16. My husband and I want to do something nice for them (e.g., take them
  17. out for a nice weekend somewhere in the Bay area) but aren't sure
  18. what to do.

  20. They have never been to Tahoe, but since they don't gamble much, and
  21. aren't really physically active, I'm not sure Tahoe would be a good choice.
  22. Seems like all the stuff ya do in Tahoe involves horseback riding, 
  23. bicycling, hiking, or water sports. (Mom doesn't swim). I know there is
  24. a little cruise boat, but that activity is only a few hours long. After
  25. that, what? (They walk around just fine...no wheelchairs or canes or
  26. anything...they just aren't capable of outdoor sports that are strenuous).

  28. They have already been to Yosemite, Carmel, Monterray, Marin County, and
  29. will be going to San Francisco a bunch of times when they visit.

  31. We had also thought of putting them up at a nice, moderately priced hotel
  32. in San Francisco, so they can have a nice "city" weekend without having
  33. to take Caltrain all the way back to us in Sunnyvale.

  35. Have you been in a similar spot? If so, what have you done? Please 
  36. email me with any suggestions you may have.
