- Intergraph - Bringing Technology Into Focus for Olympus
-
- DESKTOP WORKSTATION WITH 27-INCH DISPLAY MONITOR ANNOUNCED
-
- Chicago, July 28, 1992 - At Siggraph '92 in Chicago, Intergraph is
- demonstrating the CAD/CAM (computer-aided design and manufacturing)
- industry's first affordable desktop workstation with a 27" monitor.
- Previously, these high resolution monitors were only available with
- Intergraph's deskside workstations.
-
- "Intergraph was the first company to offer 27" 2 million pixel
- technology, and it remains the only company offering these high
- resolution displays in entry level systems configurations,"
- said Bruce Imsand, executive vice president, Intergraph.
-
- Also being shown at Booth #939 is the utilization of Intergraph's
- integrated application environment by Olympus Optical, to streamline
- the design of its Infinity Stylus camera. Both demonstrations
- illustrate how one data set can be used across multiple disciplines --
- from concept to finished product -- with no translations required.
-
- Intergraph focuses technology to bring its users total integration
- across design, visualization, engineering manufacturing, and electronic
- publishing. One data set can be shared across complex assembly
- modeling, drafting and documentation of models, engineering data
- management, structural analysis, mechanism analysis, as well as
- advanced manufacturing operations. Additionally, visualization
- and electronic publishing products fit neatly into the production
- cycle, fully integrating photo-realistic rendering, 3D animation,
- and literature production with engineering modeling. Intergraph
- automates the entire process of bringing a product to market, from
- initial concept to production.
-
