- Hello,
-
- With all the talk about "raising taxes on the upper 2% of income
- earners in the country", I was just wondering exactly who these
- people are.
-
- From Rush and Sen. Phil Gramm I have heard that the upper 2% is anyone who
- earns more than $86k/year.
-
- From some Democrats I have heard that the $86k figure is wrong, and that it
- is actually people who earn more than $200k/year.
-
- Now that is a big difference. I imagine that it might not be as simple as
- either one of the above two figures alone, but is there some sort of figure
- to use instead of "upper 2%"???
-
- Thanks,
-
