- I think we agree on the major point -- spouting offensive bullshit
- to whoever volunteers to listen should not be a crime, but hate-inspired
- violence and vandalism is a very different matter. What Keegstra did
- falls between the two extremes: He didn't commit violence, but he
- wasn't just spouting BS either -- he was teaching offensive and hate-raising
- falsehoods as _the_history_ to a captive audience of public-school students.
- This clearly goes beyond free speach into the realm of abusing authority
- over children. Whether or not this should be a crime depends on a particular
- society. It is a crime in Canada, so Keegstra got his just deserts.
