  32. There is no such thing as a perfect test.  The SAT's are my favorite
  33. example of less-than informative testing practices.  But we
  34. must adopt some kind of reliable litmus-test to prevent obvious problems
  35. from happening.  I agree, there is no explicit correlation between overall
  36. intelligence and degreed credentials.  Yet it is better than some other
  37. possibilites.  If ap.2532 discovers that the men responding are imbeciles
  38. with masters degrees, she may be motivated to try a different litmus
  39. test!
