  36. <are a student, it costs $60 a month.  The parking office is even talking
  37. <about how generous they are because they haven't raised the rates from

  40.     Hey, University of El Intercepted Paso, just down the road,
  41.     charges almost that much; but they have to blow up a
  42.     granite hill to make a parking lot, have I-10 for 
  43.     one boundary and the city of El Paso for the other boundary.
  44.     When land is scarce, the price per unit area naturally
  45.     increases.

  47.     But in Enema Zoo terms:
  48.     How many thousands of acres of empty land are part of
  49.     the Yale campus? How many square miles of empty desert
  50.     surround the Yale campus?

  52.     It is quite peeveful to have to pay for the right to park
  53.     in a sandlot, yet be told "sorry, we can't afford any
  54.     security for the sand---er--parking lots". Considering
  55.     that at one point last year, a car was stolen every
  56.     DAY from this campus (and none recovered; Mexico is
  57.     1 class period (hour) down the Interstate) it's all
  58.     just a bit much....

  61.     It's even more peeveful to know that the Legislature,
  62.     in its' finite wisdom, will in all probability cut
  63.     the *instruction* budget by exactly the same amount
  64.     of money that the parking fees bring in to the
  65.     *physical* *plant* budget.
