- One of the redeeming features of New Jersey is that self-serve gas stations
- are illegal. All gas stations are full-serve, they wash your windows and
- check your oil, and the prices are comparable to Pennsylvania or Delaware
- self-serve prices and about 20 cents cheaper than New York or Connecticut
- self-serve prices.
-
- I even got a free lunch from a friend's mother for filling up her car
- at a self-service station in PA because she was from NJ and had never
- touched a gas pump in her life and was afraid to do so.
-
- Of course, NJ has the highest auto insurance rates in the country by quite
- a large margin, so maybe it isn't so great after all.
