  32. I've been following this thread for a little while now and I 
  33. can finally see an argument for _not_ naming the new group 
  34. rec.models.misc, the reason being that flying non-scale models 
  35. are _not_ all R/C. I fly control-line myself and so do a few 
  36. other denizens of rec.models.rc. I believe that rec.models.rc
  37. is where CL and FF model discussion should be directed, since 
  38. there are many common things we share with R/C, eg. motors,
  39. covering techniques, aerodynamics. Also, CL and FF traffic by
  40. itself doesn't warrant a separate newsgroup, and we'd lose a 
  41. lot by skipping the R/C stuff.

  43. Now, if a rec.models.misc gets created, I can see a situation
  44. where some may feel that CL and FF traffic should go to the 
  45. new group (I don't see a problem with the majority of the pos-
  46. ters there, who would agree with me, but I can imagine there 
  47. might be a few people who might bring this up and start a flame
  48. war). If that happens I can also imagine that the scale people
  49. won't be too pleased either.
