  12.            Here are areas that we PROBABLY would agree on:
  13. 1) A non-Christian gentile & a non-Christian gentile
  14. 2) A non-Observant Rabbinic Jew & a non-Observant Rabbinic Jew
  15. 3) A Messianic Jew & a Messianic Jew
  16. 4) An Orthodox Jew & an Orthodox proselyte
  17. 5) A Reform/Conservative Jew & any natural born Observant Jew
  18. 6) A Messianic Gentile & a Messianic Gentile
  19. 7) A Messianic Cohen (to per instructions in Torah) a Messianic Jew
  20. 8) A Rabbinic Cohen  (to per instructions in Torah) a Rabbinic Jew
  21. 9) A "gentilized-Christian type" Jew & the same
  22. 10) Any "Gentile Christian type expression" Gentile & the same
  23.             Here are areas that there MIGHT be some contention:
  24. 1) A non-Believing gentile & a Christian Gentile
  25.      [We would not preform such a marriage]
  26. 2) A Messianic Jew & a non-Believing Jew
  27.      [We would not preform such a marriage]
  28. 3) A Messianic Jew & a non-Believing gentile
  29.      [We would not preform such a marriage]
  30. 4) Any Believing Gentile & a non-Believing Jew
  31.      [We would not preform such a marriage]
  32. 5) Any Believing Proselyte and any other Believing Proselyte
  33.      *[We WOULD preform such a marriage]
  34. 6) Any Believing Jew and another Believing Jew
  35.      *[We WOULD preform such a marriage; but would also council on
  36.      moving toward Observance, not away from it, should one of the
  37.      parties be Messianic, and the other not.  The non-Observant
  38.      partner, in short, should not IMPOSE their lack of Observance
  39.      on the Observant spouse.  As neither should the Observant spouse
  40.      FORCE their Observance on the non-Observant.  But to IMPOSE
  41.      LACK of Observance is MORE wrong than to require Observance,
  42.      {I speak of the Judaic Injunctions, not the Moral Mitzvot}, the
  43.      non-Observant must not interfere; and submit where there is
  44.      contention.  -These type of things should be discussed before the
  45.      marriage takes place.]
  46.  7) A Messianic Gentile man and a Messianic Jewish woman
  47.      *[We WOULD preform such a marriage; but would point out that while
  48.      the woman and the children would be considered Jewish, the husband
  49.      would not, as in making aliyah.  We of course would exhort them
  50.      to stay in Judaic Observance, and to bring up their children with
  51.      appreciation of their Judaic roots.]
  52.   8) A Messianic Gentile woman and a Messianic Jewish man
  53.      *[We WOULD preform such a marriage; but would point out as above,
  54.      and in addition, would point out that neither the woman, nor her
  55.      children would be considered Rabbinicly halachicly Jewish, as in
  56.      making aliyah; except the Reform Rabbinic understanding accepts
  57.      children from a Jewish father as being Jewish, based upon certain
  58.      understandings of a Parental line of descent from Tanakh.]
  59.   9) A "gentile-Christian type Gentile" and any Messianic Jew
  60.      *[We would preform such a marraige; but would exhort the Gentile
  61.      to become Messianic Judaic Observant.  If this was not agreed to,
  62.      we would still reluctantly preform the marriage; but our view is
  63.      that a Jewish person should move toward observance, not away from
  64.      it.]-(this would however be very rare).
  65.  10) A Gentile as in #9 above; with the "same type" of Jewish Believer
  66.      *[While we might be asked to preform such a type of marrige,
  67.      (though this is doubtful, as we aren't where they'd normally be
  68.      fellowshiping), we'd encourage both the Jewish Believer, and the
  69.      Gentile to explore the Judaic roots of the spouse, and consider
  70.      Messianic Judaism in their walk; vs. a strictly "Gentile"
  71.      expression; but they'd not be in our Shule anyway for starters :-)
