  21. oh well, the netnews system has been in existence for years and i don't see
  22. how it has become an 'unorganized hell-hell' for communication..
  23. most of the problematic channels are those that exist without a well-defined 
  24. purpose. you rarely see much problems in #initgame, #warez #hack because
  25. these channels exist for a specific purpose, you know what to do when you get
  26. there and their respective users don't like to see you doing unrelated things.
  27. but in the case of #hk, #asians, #taiwan, you simply don't know what are you 
  28. supposedly to say there. are they for chatting? for social discussion? for free
  29. hugs and kisses? heck, i am currently banned from #taiwan because i tried to 
  30. start a taiwanese language discussion on #taiwan.. :)
  31. perhaps these 'cultural' channels need a better organization? like
  32. #hk-social-talk, #hk-culture-talk, #hk-dating, #hk-bash, #hk-whatever..
  33. or better yet, #hk should rename itself to something like 
  34. #hk-for-my-friends-only-and-foes-will-be-banned?
  35. from my experince, the _only_ channel justifies having a bot is #initgame. :)
