- I know the people who operate a couple of these bots, and feel compelled
- to explain their purposes some. For the record: I am too opposed to the
- IRCbot concept, but some bots (especially the NickServ,NoteServ, etc bots)
- do have a legitimate purpose.

- This is a lot easier said than done. Even if you can get a server compiled
- (which can be above the skills of a lot of IRCusers), a lot of sysadmins
- tolerate ircII but will not at all like ircds floating around.
- It's a good idea, yes, but not one all can do.
- I'd personally suggest if that isn't possible, that the bot be isolated
- on an invisible line and be tested there.

- This bot collects prayer requests for people who want Christians who use IRC
- to pray for them. As he said, you'll need to ask Scooby how to use it.

- This bot does channel control (invites, oping, etc.) for a couple of private
- channels. Write to that address for more information.

- This is actually BibleBot. Other than that, this is rather self-appearant.

- Not necessarily. A *lot* of machines restrict FTP to root, but have a person
- who one way or another got the ircII client.

- I don't mean to flame Mark here, since he does have a good point, and
- hope that all recognize that any "hot spots" are purely accidental.
