- People are only trying to use good manners when they ask that. They
- would think themselves rather due if they just joined the channel and
- said "hey, how do you.....?" so they try to introduce themselves by
- asking if anyone can help them.

- my question, waited...waited....waited.....nothing. Or, the conver-

- people not get the impression that the channel was inhabited by
- snobs with that kind of (non) response?
