  16.     Alan Rosenthal's last post (sadly deleted) reminds me of hacking
  17. on the Macintosh myself.

  19.     I am trying to get a program that captures text from an Internet
  20. session to save the file ONLY on a floppy disk.  That is, the program
  21. currently doesn't even bring up a dialogue box to ask for the saved
  22. file name or the proper folder or whatnot, but I am learning how to
  23. do that through the Toolbox.

  25.     However, the floppy drive is not a SCSI device, so I don't know
  26. how to specify it.  For security reasons, putting up a dialogue box that
  27. would allow a user to see the hard drive is a Bad Thing (tm).

  29. AnecdotalHack: Not mine, but interesting: a friend once fiddled around long
  30.            enough with a spare LaserWriter (Plus, I believe) to get it
  31.            to act as a personal computer.  The CPU was pretty feeble,
  32.            but it sounds neat nonetheless.
