  26. Interesting.. I read a good part of the issue you had on the gopher, and
  27. I found it to be very interesting, and very educational.  The commentary
  28. in particular I found to be more engaging than those in our own professionally
  29. published school newspaper, The Daily Texan, which is available on-line from
  30. the University of Texas at Austin Computation Center Gopher.  In addition, it
  31. gave a quite personable representation of your university scene.  SOUND seemed
  32. to me to be one of the best additions to the network that I have seen recently.

  34. If you feel it would help, please feel free to use this letter as evidence
  35. in striving to get disk space (which is the issue, as gopher uses neglible
  36. computer time) for the electronic publishing of SOUND.  I think it has
  37. considerable educational merit.

  39. Trying to find a publisher to take SOUND to the net is an interesting issue,
  40. opening up all kinds of questions of commercial vs. public funding for
  41. distribution, and of establishing a market to provide information distribution
  42. services over the TCP/IP Internet.
  43.

  45. disclaimed any knowledge of an 'ed'.  I've cross-posted this to 
  46. comp.org.eff.talk and set followups there, since this may profitably go
  47. beyond a gopher discussion.
