- hi,
- i know nothing about unix but i've been volunteered to find out about
- setting up the unix gopher server. i've read all the docs i could find but
- i'm still confused. what do you have to do to all your files and directories
- so they'll work with gopher? i saw that you can use your anonymous ftp
- file structure, how do you do this? how does the gopher server know what
- type of file something is;text, binhex, sound, etc..the types that are numbered
- 0-7? does it figure it out or do you have to specify somewhere for every
- single file on the computer what type it is, and if so how?
- thanks
