  14. Type 6 is not a new type, it was assigned for UU encoded files
  15. a while back.  It seems to have been dropped from release 1.0,
  16. but I missed noticing that.  The reason that uuencoded type
  17. is in this patch, which I wrote, is that on my archive, there
  18. are lots of encoded files, including binhex (mac) and uuencoded
  19. (pc, unix, vms).  I generally do not know, nor does the server
  20. computer know, what is inside these uuencoded files.  So it
  21. is hard to assign them as text or binary.  However, uuencoded
  22. files could be treated as text type, if no one else wants
  23. to support type 6.
