- Although I have no commercial nor emotional relationship with the owners
- of the Walnut Creek CDROM company, I am a very happy customer. I didn't
- like the severe offense they got from people telling their Garbo CD-ROM
- was *very* bad, simply because it isn't. Owning a PC myself and working
- with a PC and a Mac at work, I have successfully loaded a couple of very
- good programs that came from the CD-ROM onto the Mac. No problems .....
- Maybe it isn't easy to some of you, but the steps I took are quite short
- and understandable. First put the archive-file onto a DOS floppy, put
- that into the Mac with Apple File Exchange active, then transfer it to
- the hard-disk, use MacBinary to update the archive-file, and next apply
- the appropriate unstuffer. No big deal, and the result are OK.
- Also, the Garbo collection itself is good, so I don't see how this CDROM
- could be bad itself. All programs I extracted worked as advertised.
-
- I don't think it is good habit to offend people via this forum. Pick up
- the phone and shout at them instead of attacking their good name !
-
- A happy customer,
-
- Rene
