- Forget about getting the above set-up working under OS/2. Unless Hitachi
- produces a device driver set, this is not possible.
-
- In the absence of OS/2 drivers, you have to load the DOS device drivers
- and the dreaded MSCDEX. The only way MSCDEX will work is from a specific
- version of DOS booted in a VDM. It does not take a week to do this however.
-
- Make a bootable floppy with a version of DOS, put all the device drivers
- that you need in that. Boot from it to make sure that you are able to
- access the CDRom. Then modify the config.sys adding FSFILTER.SYS etc.
- as described in 'Installation Guide' ...er pamphlet ;-) Appendix E.
- I have the same set up as yours. [IFI4 and 1503S]. Create an Icon for this
- set up on your Desktop of WPS and you are a double-click away from
- accessing a CD-Rom.
-
- Currently only SCSI drives are suppored, that too is sort of limited.
