  21. the SysOp who got arrested was fully aware that minors were UL/DLing xxx
  22. pictures to his BBS.  He made it possible that any person who logged on
  23. could go to the new uploads area and download a good amount of X-gifs. 
  24. He never did make  an attempt to check what was coming through his
  25. system and who was downloading what.  The best way to ensure sysop
  26. immunity from this is to make the user agree  that s/he is of legal age
  27. and to use that type of security on the BBS.  If the user is the one
  28. lieing, then the sysop is not responsible for the user.

  30. I do not totally agree with the arrest, but that's life...
