- -> My question is, what can I do to get uploads to work faster? One
- -> obvious thing would be to set the DCE speed lower than the DTE speed
- -> (e.g. 9600 bps), but I'd rather not throttle my download speed. Is
- -> it a feature of the zmodem that comes with Telix? Is there a better
- -> package I can get reasonably cheap?
-
-
- You don't say what systems you are calling, but Telix should be
- fine for bbs communication. Be sure you have CTS/RTS flow
- control ON, and baud-rate-adjust OFF in BOTH Telix and the Zoom.
- You should always dial out at the highest (DTE) speed supported
- by your modem/comm program/serial I/O.
-
- Very slow uploads are usually a symptom of no CTS/RTS flow
- control, or a brain-deal UART (which shouldn't be a problem
- with your internal modem).
