- !Help File for !TaskKeys v1.10
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- !TaskKeys exists to:
- a) enable you to simulate F-key presses with the mouse
- b) give you a keystrip on the desktop.
-
- Double-click on the !TaskKeys icon to install it on the iconbar.
- Clicking on the icon opens the F-keys window or brings it to the
- front if it's already open. The twelve F-key icons simulate key-
- presses, ie clicking on the F12 icon produces the same effect as
- pressing the F12 key. The four radio icons determine whether the
- effect is that of pressing the key with either Shift, Ctrl, both
- or neither held down. The title bar has the name of the current,
- or last, task to have input focus. The definitions in the F-keys
- icons will change with the input focus -- if !TaskKeys knows the
- definitions for a particular task it will put them in the window
- but will leave the icons blank if it doesn't. It reverts to RO 3
- standard definitions for F12 in the latter case. Additional task
- definitions can be added by editing the file !TaskKeys.Key_Defns
- using !KeyDefnEd (which should have been supplied with !TaskKeys
- but if you haven't got it, then contact us and we'll send a copy
- to you). Drag a KeyDefn file to the !TaskKeys icon to change the
- list of tasks it knows about. On start-up it looks for Key_Defns
- in its application shell (ie for !TaskKeys.Key_Defns) and gets a
- default list of task definitions from there. It won't load if it
- doesn't find it.
-
- Info brings up the usual information box.
- Quit quits from the application.
