  3. !KeyDefnEd  edits the  KeyDefn files  that !TaskKeys  uses to
  4. store the F-key definitions.
  5.  
  6. To Load.
  7. ~~~~~~~~
  8. Run !KeyDefnEd by either double-clicking on its icon, or on a 
  9. KeyDefn  file (&0CD)  if !KeyDefnEd  has been  'seen' by  the 
  10. Filer.

  12. To Use.
  13. ~~~~~~~
  14. Load a  KeyDefn file by double-clicking on it or  dragging it 
  15. to the  !KeyDefnEd icon.  This opens  the Edit window.  Click
  16. MENU over this window for the  tasks menu.  Click SELECT on a
  17. task to edit it.  There are only two  restrictions on the key
  18. definitions you enter:

  20.    1: The task name must be EXACTLY as it appears
  21.       in the task manager window.
  22.    2: Each key definition is a maximum of 20 chars,
  23.       the task name can be up to 25.

  25. It is  advisable to enter the definitions for F12 even if the
  26. task doesn't alter them, so that they appear correctly in the
  27. !TaskKeys window and you don't forget that they're defined.

  29. Click on the radio buttons to enter Shift, Ctrl and ShiftCtrl
  30. definitions. When  you've finished click on 'Update'. 'Clear' 
  31. forgets both  the changes  you've  made  and the task  you're 
  32. editing.  Click on 'Clear All' to clear all task definitions. 
  33. Click  on 'Save'  to save the key definitions. Note that this 
  34. overwrites the file you loaded.  Maybe one day I'll include a 
  35. 'Save As' facility... maybe not.

  37. Note you can use the function keys to change the button state
  38. on the Edit window. I'm not going to tell you which is which:
  39. load !KeyDefnEd into !TaskKeys  (read !TaskKeys.!Help to find
  40. out how to do this) if you really want to know!
