  1. To enable 1600x1200 screen modes with your RISC PC add the contents of the
  2. 1600x1200 file to the end of your monitors mode definition file held in the 
  3.  
  4. ADFS::HardDisc4.$.!Boot.Resources.Configure.Monitors.Acorn

  9. It will only really be visibale on 17"+ monitors, eg. AKF85

  11. The defintion included uses a pixel rate of 152000 , this is the limit I
  12. found that still allows 16 colours with 1 Mb of VRam and gives a refresh
  13. rate of 56Hz. This can be dropped to the rate of 135000  (50Hz) as Acorn
  14. initialy supplied or a greater rate (but with less colours)

  16. I belive (but can not confirm) that rates of 135000 and higher are all above
  17. the *official* tolerance for the VIDC 20 chip so different machines may not
  18. be able to cope, you will just have to drop the pixel rate if you run into
  19. problems.
