- RTF Reader v1.1 7/6/94
- ========================
- Author : Darryl Sims
-
-
- Overview
- ========
-
- RTF Reader is a program to extract the document text from an RTF Version 1 text.
- The extracted text is placed into a standard !Edit file.
- This program represents the first step toward a more useful RTF tool.
-
- Using RTFReader
- ===============
-
- To launch RTFReader, just double-click on the !RTFReader icon which will then
- appear on the right hand side of the icon bar.
-
- To extract the text from an RTF file, simply drag the file onto the icon bar
- !RTFReader icon. The program executes automatically and displays a file save dialog
- for dragging into a directory window. The new file contains the extracted text. A
- report window is opened when the program executes which is used to show any information
- or error messages.

-
- Limitations
- ===========
-
- The RTFReader does not fully support the ANSI character set, but will do its best.
- RTFReader will also attempt to extract from any RTF files which are not Version 1.
-
- RTFReader has not been tested under RISC OS 2.
