  1. Opinion and conflict
  2. ====================

  4.         One of the important features of the LAN hypertext is that many
  5.         different people can put their minds together in assembling
  6.         personal observations and understandings into a communal hypertext
  7.         knowledge system.  In such systems with many text-entry
  8.         participates, community standards for format, links, and
  9.         relationships are important for maintaining a uniform appearance.

  11.         However, differences in opinion often occur.  Here's my solution:

  13. EXAMPLE     Differing Views of the Moon
  14. =======     ───────────────────────────
  15.                 The moon is RED ....................  <jump>
  16.                 The moon is BLUE ...................  <jump>
  17.                 The moon is made of GREEN cheese ...  <jump>
  18.                 The COW jumped over the moon .......  <jump>
  19.                 OTHER opinions .....................  <jump>

  21.         SUMMARY: If consensus viewpoints are not possible, make access to
  22.         each opinion equally available to help users understand the various
  23.         commonalities and boundaries within each of the contained opinions.
