- Nowhere8.pud
- Nowhere to run, Nowhere to hide - 8 player pud, 64x64 Forest
-
- Inspired by the packin pud of the same name, this allows for 8 players
- to deal with the fact that they're in eachothers backyard!
-
- It is setup like cubes in a square: (numbered by player)
- -------------
- | 1 | 7 | 3 |
- -------------
- | 5 | 0 | 6 |
- -------------
- | 2 | 8 | 4 |
- -------------
-
- Player '0' represents mud.. no gold/trees/building site here (too much advantange for
- players 5-8 if that was the case). It is a nice way to travel to your opposition though.
-
- Each player has one gold mind in the middle of their 'plot' for 45K (same as original).
- 1 is human, alternate races thereafter (of course this is just the default).
- Default resources are the same as the original, 2K gold, 1.5K lumber, 1K oil.
-
- Players 1,2,3,4 have less neighboring opponents, but one less wall of wood as well
- (I did add some wood on the sides for these players, but not so much that building
- was a problem until cleared away).
-
- Players 5,6,7,8 have a potential 3 sides for opponents to come in, but have the
- extra wall of wood.
-
- Obviously without 8 players it is not as crazy.. but with 4 players it is setup so that
- grabbing the second site could lead to suprises depending on your opponent(s)..
-
- One could divide it up without a middle.. but I'm not sure how well it would work for
- building and game play.. anyways let me know how it works out for you!
- I personally suggest as close to 8 players as possible and no allies :)
