- MISSION OBJECTIVE

- .body
-
- Once we were pulled into the transport to the Kiev base, I briefed Popcorn
- and Bear on the reports we'd received from Special Forces.
-
- "Sounds like they got more than they were expecting. Two functional Su-33s
- and one MiG-29 were captured intact. The soldier boys are giving them to us
- as a special thank you. We'll get dropped off, hop in the planes and take
- off. Popcorn, I know you've got time on a MiG-29, so that creampuff is
- yours. Bear and I will take the Sukhois. We will then escort the C-130's
- with our share of the loot back to the base. We will go through the valley
- to the southwest to try to shake any pursuit. Fighters are being scrambled
- all over eastern Ukraine, so we may have a tough fight to keep those Hercs
- fat, dumb, and happy. The ground troops will be retreating and a Russian
- tank outfit will be close on their heels, so we won't have time to waste. If
- we have it easy, any support we can give the ground hogs would be
- appreciated, but the prime mission is to get those C-130s home. Too many
- people paid for this one, boys."

- MISSION SUCCESS

- "That was perfect action to test the new Sukhois, Colonel!"
-
- "Glad you enjoyed it, Bear. How about the MiG-29, Popcorn?"
-
- A blissful smile wandered over the young pilot's face. "An absolute dream,
- Colonel. Just beautiful!"
-
- "Well, those C-130s are pushing the cargo out, so let's go lend a hand. We
- want to get them out of here as quickly as possible."
-
- "Oooo, look! They sent us a Tungusta, too! My those Special Forces are
- .bold such .bold nice boys."

- Later, I was talking with Boss about the action. "Boss, things are getting
- really hot here. The Crimson Tide is stopped for now, but they are digging
- in to make a long haul of it. I don't think we can expect that this small
- base is going to go unnoticed for much longer. I think we need to consider
- falling back to a more defensible position."
-
- "Son, you are in an enviable position. You can support the freedom fighters
- in Kiev within a matter of minutes and perform strategic strikes deep in
- enemy territory. I want you to stay there for as long as possible. Some
- interesting things are going on now."
-
- "Ok, sir. As long as we can."

- MISSION FAILURE

- Those C-130's were thrown to a violent end. Try using your wingmen to attack
- the bandits that are farther away, while you go for the closer ones. Since
- those supplies never reached our Air Base your last mission was meaningless,
- as were the many caualties. Next time make sure you finish something you
- start.
