You are on special assignment for the Navy during these tense times.  Under Colonel Poltern's wing, you are to work with a variety of American aircraft to increase the combat readiness of the Ukrainian Air Force before the possibly inevitable Russian aggression.  You are to fly with Colonel Poltern and eventually Ukrainian wing men under your command.

  52. In this, your first assignment, you will be escorting a MiG-27 and an Su-24 on a patrol of the southern Sea of Azov.  Satellite surveillance has revealed two Sarancha on their way north to Kerch'.

  54. As you know, the Sea has been declared a Free Zone of the Ukrainian Republic.  Any Russian ships are forbidden from entering the Sea under penalty of confiscation.

  56. The Saranchas seem to be heading to Kerch' to investigate the newly arrived Olemka's.  On your way out to patrol, make sure they don't cause any mischief, and that they turn back before entering the Sea.  If they do pass through the straits, harass them with radar locks.  Remember the current Rules of Engagement...DO NOT FIRE UPON THEM UNLESS FIRED UPON!!

Follow your wing commander's orders exactly.  The MiG will take off first, followed by Poltern.  You should take off immediately after him to allow the Su-24 to take off next.  Marshall and enter the formation to the north, then proceed east to intercept the Saranchas.  After your encounter with them, complete your circuit and return to Simferopol.
