  2. Yee haa!  This tiff library is exactly what I was looking for.
  3. Excellent job!  I really appreciate it when I find a quality product that
  4. means I don't have to waste time reinventing the wheel.

  6. The code in sgisv.c was very helpful in figuring out how to write
  7. my 8-bit images in gray scale but how do I write out my own color maps. 
  8. It is not apparent to me how to do this after looking through the list of
  9. available routines in the library.

  11. I hope I am not wasting your time with something that should be obvious to
  12. me but any pointers would be appreciated.....
