  1. For those who have not heard yet, there is an informal mailing-list
  2. regarding the establishment of a set of TIFF tags for storing
  3. geographic map projection information, such as UTM zones, Lambert
  4. Standard parallels, etc. So far the participants include reps from
  5. SPOT, Intergraph, ERDAS, ESRI, and USGS.

  7. Currently we are trying to sort out a rough draft of the proposed
  8. spec, which would eventually be sent to Aldus Developers as a Tech
  9. Note, but are interested in having others input on this, as well.
