  2. TROUBLE-SHOOTING:
  3. ======================
  4.  
  5. 1.  Problem due to incorrect Windows video driver.
  6. Symptoms:  Picture looks like missing some colors or shows only 16 colors.
  7. Correction: Exit Windows. Log into Windows subdirectory and run SETUP.
  8.             Move cursor bar to video driver and re-install video driver
  9.             with the driver disks that come with your video card.  Make
  10.             sure choose the one with 256 colors.
  11.  
  12. 2.  Certain Parts of the image are too bright on too dark.
  13. Correction:  Due to the hardware differences between different
  14.              monitors and video cards, you may need to adjust the
  15.              brightness and intensity of your monitor to get the
  16.              best images.
  17.  
  18. 3.  Problem due to insufficient video memory and incorrect video card driver
  19. Symptoms:  There's no picture on screen, but the hard disk sounds like
  20.            it is retrieving something.
  21.            Strange colors in pictures 
  22. Correction:  If you have another VGA card, try it to see if problem persists.
  23. Find a VGA card with more memory. Choose a different video driver to see
  24. if problem goes away.

  26. 4.  WINDOWS does not boot up from the default menu in the CD-ROM.
  27. Correction:  WINDOWS directory is not in the DOS path.  Simply add
  28.              WINDOWS in your DOS path in your AUTOEXEC.BAT.

  30. 5.  I get "SHARING VIOLATION" when runing Clipart/ Font Viewer.
  31. CORRECTION: DOS version earlier than 6.22 will give you this error
  32.             message.  Simpy add SHARE in your AUTOEXEC.BAT:
  33.             C:\DOS\SHARE
  34.  
  35. 6.  Font display on screen does not match the font name. 
  36. Explanation:  This may due to certain drivers and TSR programs                
  37.               interfere with the video driver.  Memory manager
  38.               like QEMM may also cause problem like this.  Try
  39.               boot up system with a vanilla CONFIG.SYS to eliminate
  40.               the possible driver that cause the problem.
