  17.    1. ABOUT YONC

  20.    This is the Version 1.x of the dial up network companion Yonc.  
  21.  
  22.    Yonc is a full featured program that assists you with internet
  23.    connection.  It allows you to redial if your internet provider's
  24.    lines are busy.  You can monitor multiple email accounts, online time, 
  25.    line performance, online cost and several other things.  Additionally 
  26.    you can keep your internet connection active to avoid disconnects 
  27.    due to inactivity from your provider or you can use the program to
  28.    disconnect your line after you are idle (or semi idle) for a 
  29.    given time.

  31.    The program automatically switches between English and German 
  32.    language, depending on your system's settings (under Windows 95
  33.    this is the same language as Windows, under Windows NT it is the
  34.    Regional setting in the Control Panel).

  36.    The program can be tested for 30 days.  During that time you have
  37.    to press an OK button every hour.  After that time it must be either
  38.    purchased or deleted.  Order and purchase informations can be found
  39.    in the help menu and in the separate order application.

  44.    2. DISTRIBUTION, COPYRIGHT

  47.    Yonc is (C) 1999 by EmTec, Markus Schmidt

  49.    This is a license summary -- see the license information in the 
  50.    setup program for details.

  52.    You may use and test the program for 30 days in evaluation mode. 
  53.    Then you have to order a license code or remove it from your system.

  55.    No warranty of any kind can be given for damage caused through Yonc
  56.    directly or indirectly or any other way.

  58.    The evaluation version of Yonc may be distributed freely via tele-
  59.    communication, shareware dealers or as a free add on for hard- or 
  60.    software products in form of an unmodified ZIP archive, or as 
  61.    unzipped files in an single directory with the name beginning with
  62.    "Yonc" and with no file added, removed or modified.

  64.    The following restrictions apply to distribution.

  66.     * Yonc must not be used in an army environment or for purposes 
  67.       that are related to the military or to arms production.
  68.  
  69.     * Yonc may be included into shareware CDs if the ZIP file is
  70.       left intact or if all files from the ZIP file are provided
  71.       in a single directory the name of which begins with Yonc. 
  72.       Two copies of the CD must be sent to EmTec, Markus Schmidt
  73.       (address below).

  75.     * An evaluation copy of Yonc must not be sold for more than 
  76.       $5/DM 7 (that includes shipping). If you purchased Yonc from a 
  77.       dealer paying more (or get knowledge of such a dealer), please
  78.       notify him of this regulation.

  83.    3. INSTALLATION

  86.    To install Yonc just type SETUP at a command prompt. The windowed
  87.    install program will handle the rest.

  89.    If you encounter problems of any kind, please try to install Yonc 
  90.    into a fresh directory.

  92.    Note: Yonc should not be installed over an existing beta version 
  93.    of Yonc.
