  1. Welcome to the world of Paint Shop Pro.  Paint Shop Pro is a full
  2. featured graphics manipulation and paint program.  It contains
  3. features demanded by professional graphic artists, with an
  4. understandable and easy to use interface for the beginner.

  9. Paint Shop Pro gives you the power to paint your way!  You can
  10. choose one of the default settings (paintbrush, pen, pencil,
  11. marker, crayon, pastel, airbrush or charcoal) or adjust any of
  12. the brush attributes to create your own effects.

  14. Photo Retouching
  15. Now you have all the power you need to enhance your existing
  16. images.  Use the clone brush for quick and easy duplication of
  17. image areas, even between separate images.  The retouching brush
  18. provides you with flexible control over the various attributes.
  19. Use the defaults (lighten, darken, soften, sharpen or emboss) or
  20. change the attributes to work the way that is easiest for you.

  22. Image Enhancement and Editing
  23. Paint Shop Pro includes full featured masking support (alpha
  24. channel support is available for TIFF, TGA, and PNG file formats).
  25. Image Arithmetic allows you to combine two images together.  Paint
  26. Shop Pro allows you to perform flip, mirror, rotate (by one
  27. degree increments) and crop operations.    The program includes
  28. 21 image filters and 11 deformations, plus the ability to create
  29. your own filters, and supports third party plug-in filters such as
  30. Kai's Power Tools or Alien Skin's Black Box.

  33. The thumbnail browser allows you to visually search directories
  34. for images.  You can select images to be loaded into Paint Shop Pro
  35. for editing.

  38. Creating a graphic for the World Wide Web could not be any easier
  39. than with Paint Shop Pro.  Simply create your graphic and save it
  40. as one of the popular formats for World Wide Web graphics.  Paint
  41. Shop Pro supports the Transparent GIF, Transparent PNG, and
  42. Progressive JPEG formats highly sought after for web page graphics.

  44. Color Enhancement
  45. Paint Shop Pro provides full support for adjusting brightness,
  46. contrast, highlight, shadow, midtone, gamma correction and color
  47. reduction, as well as hue, saturation, luminance and RGB levels.
  48. Palette editing and direct palette mapping allow global changes to
  49. multiple images.  Furthermore, histogram functions enable the user
  50. to equalize and stretch the image values.  Results can be viewed
  51. on the enhanced histogram window that displays red, green, blue
  52. and luminance values.

  55. View multiple images at once with Paint Shop ProÆs extensive
  56. viewing capabilities.  If desired, you can edit an image at
  57. the pixel level while viewing it at another zoom level.  You can
  58. also use the full screen mode, complete with zoom, pan, and all
  59. image editing features.  Paint Shop Pro supports any Windows
  60. compatible printer.
