  1. INFORMATION ON LICENSING

  4. USE ON MORE THAN ONE COMPUTER
  5.  
  6. To use PKWARE products in a commercial, educational or governmental
  7. agency on more than one computer, it is necessary to purchase a SITE
  8. LICENSE.  The Site License allows the organization to use the software
  9. package on up to the number of computers licensed.  Site License fees
  10. are based on the total number of computers that will use the software
  11. package.  Please use the "Multiple Use Order Form" in the ORDER.TXT
  12. file.  NOTE THAT THE SITE LICENSE INCLUDES ONE COPY OF THE SOFTWARE
  13. AND DOCUMENTATION.  The Site License allows you to copy the software
  14. for the number of machines licensed.  Distributing, repackaging, or
  15. reselling of the software to third parties is not allowed.  All 
  16. licenses are prepaid.

  19. DISTRIBUTION LICENSE
  20.  
  21. A Distribution License is required by an organization, company or
  22. government agency to use PKWARE programs to facilitate the
  23. distribution of software to outside parties.  To use PKWARE programs
  24. within your organization, company, educational or government
  25. agency, please see the Site License information.
  26.  
  27. Should a self-extracting file, created with a PKWARE product, be
  28. used, a Distribution License is required since PKWARE code is
  29. distributed in the form of the PKSFX program combined with file(s)
  30. being distributed.

  32. If you wish to distribute all or any part of a Command Line version 
  33. of PKZIP, a Distribution License is required.  A Distribution
  34. License for the Graphic User Interface versions of PKZIP only allows
  35. for the distribution of self-extracting files.

  37. If you wish to receive a quotation for the Distribution Licensed
  38. version of PKZIP for Windows, Command Line for Windows 95/NT, OS/2,
  39. or UNIX, please call PKWARE at 414-354-8699.

  41. If you wish to distribute PKZIP, PKUNZIP or PKSFX for DOS, please
  42. complete and return the following Application for Distribution
  43. License to receive a quotation.  The completed application may be
  44. returned by email to sales@pkware.com, faxed to 414-354-8559 or
  45. mailed to 9025 N. Deerwood Drive, Brown Deer, WI 53223-2480.

  48. The Distribution License is non-exclusive and non-transferable.
