- Lnx4Win allows you to install Linux directly on a windows partition.

- I - Requirements:
-
- - Hardware system compatible with Linux Mandrake 6.0.
- - 64Mb RAM
- - 300 Mb free space on Windows partition.
- - Windows(tm) 95/98

- II - Start
-
- Please follow these steps carefully :

- - Run scandisk to clean up your system.
- - Run install.bat script.
- - Run setup.bat script from lnx4win installed directory.
- - Choose an installation method(hd, cdrom or network).
- - Select the linux system size.
- - Select the linux swap size.
- - Enable or disable the choose in boot menu. If you enable it, you will see a boot menu which allow you to start Windows or Linux-Mandrake.
- - Enable or disable the warning before booting in Linux.
- - Enable or disable creation of the desktop shorcuts.
- - Press Ok to begin the system installation under Linux.

- III - Installation of the system

- - Wait until the format and setup image is done.
- - The installation procedure is the same as standard installation but without
- all partitionment and bootloader installation steps.
- - When you select package you must let 5Mb free to correctly install the kernel.
- - When the installation is finished, you can reboot under Windows.
- - If you have selected the boot menu installation you can select 'Linux' if not
- you can boot by clicking on the Linux icon on your desktop or start menu.

- IV - Desinstallation of the system

- - Run uninstall.bat script.
- - Remove latest files manually.
- - Run scandisk program.
