  1. 3Com (R) Corporation LAN Installation Disk
  2. for the 3Com Megahertz LAN PC Card Family
  3. Microsoft LAN Manager Driver Installation File

  5. Microsoft LAN Manager versions 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2
  6. LAN Installation Disk 2 contains a subdirectory
  7. structure and files that make it an OEM import
  8. disk for the LAN Manager installer.  Use the
  9. import function of the LAN Manager installer
  10. to capture the NDIS driver from LAN Installation Disk 2.
  11. Be sure to save the new configuration before exiting the
  12. installer.

  15. DOS installation with Lan Manager 2.2
  16. The following describes the procedure for 
  17. importing the driver during installation of 
  18. Lan Manager 2.2 for DOS.
  19.  
  20. 1.  Begin the MS-DOS Lan Manager installation by 
  21.     inserting the MS LAN Manager 2.2 Setup Disk and 
  22.     typing A:SETUP.
  23.  
  24. 2.  After reading the Microsoft Drivers 1 diskette, 
  25.     a window is displayed showing available Network 
  26.     Adapter Drivers.  In this window choose the
  27.     following function:

  29.     Select Other Driver        (Alt-D)
  30.  
  31. 3.  When prompted to insert your network driver 
  32.     diskette, insert LAN Installation Disk 2 and 
  33.     when prompted, type:a:\  
  34.  
  35. 4.  After the driver is imported from the diskette, 
  36.     a box will be displayed showing the driver.  
  37.     Select the 3Com Megahertz LAN PC Card.
  38.  
  39. 5.  Continue with the remainder of the installation 
  40.     by next selecting a protocol to use with the 
  41.     3Com LAN PC Card driver.
