  21.  humorous adventure, pitting the hero against the worst
  22. excesses of a world run by big business and advertising
  23.  agencies. Clifford Simak is another who has steadily
  24.  produced wonderfully readable books, set in rural
  25. America. His work is much gentler and more
  26. people-oriented than the typical SF novel. Oh, and
  27. spare a thought for Irish writer Bob Shaw, who has
  28.  never quite reached big name status, but from this period
  29.  onwards produced many excellent books.
