At birth the veal calf is stuffed into a pen so small that it is unable to move around - to stop the build-up of tough muscle fibre - then for the rest of its unnatural life the calf is fed on a meat-whitening milk powder, deprived of grass, light and its mother. Finally it is slaughtered.
