Animal rights protesters who disrupt country sports, including hunting and fishing, can now be prosecuted under the Criminal Justice Act. Five hunt saboteurs were the first people to be charged under the Act (with aggravated trespass) in November 1994 after a demonstration in Northamptonshire.
