  6. Video Problems:

  8.   This demo requires a VESA-Compatible SVGA video card with at least 1
  9. MB of RAM and must be capable of displaying resolutions of 640x480 in 256
  10. color modes or higher. If you experience any video problems when attempting 
  11. to run the 'I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream' demo, please read the 
  12. following section.

  14.   Try one of the following solutions to solve some of the video problems 
  15. that may occur.

  17.   1.)  Try starting the demo by typing: Scream VESA
  18.  
  19.   2.)  Install the Universal VESA driver included with this demo (UNIVBE).
  20.        For your convenience we have included a Universal VESA driver (UNIVBE) 
  21.        with this demo. For instructions on UNIVBE, see the readme file 
  22.        located in the UNIVBE directory.

  24.   3.)  Contact the manufacturer of your video card for the proper VESA video
  25.        driver and technical assistance.

  28. Sound Problems:

  30.   This demo requires a Sound Blaster or 100% Sound Blaster compatible 
  31. sound card with MIDI support.

  33.   NOTE: BOTH MIDI AND DIGITAL AUDIO MUST BE CONFIGURED IN ORDER FOR THE 
  34.     DEMO TO RUN PROPERLY. You will receive errors and possible game 
  35.     locks when you start this demo if you have not properly installed
  36.     your sound card.

  39. Memory Problems:

  41.   This demo requires 4 Megabytes of system memory and approximately 570 KB of  
  42.   free conventional memory to run properly.

  47.                 "Disclaimer"
  48.  
  49.     This Demo was created from a BETA version of 'I Have No Mouth, 
  50.     And I Must Scream'. The proper VESA support has not been written 
  51.     into the product yet, so on some systems you will need to load a 
  52.     VESA driver before running the demo. The documentation for your 
  53.     particular video card will explain how to load the VESA driver 
  54.     supplied with your video card. If your video card does not provide
  55.     a VESA driver, then you may try installing the universal VESA 
  56.     driver located in the UNIVBE sub directory on the same CD-ROM as 
  57.     the DEMO version of 'I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream'. This is
  58.     a 30 day evaluation copy of the UNIVBE drivers, so if you intend 
  59.     to use the UNIVBE drivers for more than 30 days you will have to 
  60.     register it. If neither of these solutions solves the problem for 
  61.     you, call CyberDreams at 818-222-9348 and someone will help you 
  62.     with the problem.
