It's a good idea to save boost for use in each of three situations:
1) at the start of a race, for a jump start on the other riders.
2) when the road opens up on straights, so you can use it to its fullest extent.
3) after taking a spill, to get yourself back up to racing speed.
Try to avoid clashes with the other bikes, as you could find yourself with a serious case of road rash, or facing the wrong way round the track.
