  1. Fontastic is a powerful font management utility from Microtech software.
  2. It allows you to view all of your systems fonts from one application.
  3.  
  4. To view any font, simply use the Word style drop down font list to select your font.
  5. You can then adjust the text displayed to show all the attributes of that font.
  6. Bold, italic, underline and strikethrough properties can all be selected.
  7. Fontastic can also show how fonts will look through differing alignments.

  9. To see how you font will look in colour, choose from a standard colour selection or define your own custom colour.
  10. You can also run multiple instances of Fontastic to allow direct comparison between fonts.

  12. Fontastic can print a sample sheet showing how the font looks at various point sizes.
  13. The sample sheet also has the name of the font and the date it was printed.
  14. Particularly useful for cataloguing all your fonts.

  18. Fontastic still remains the easiest font management tool you can buy.

  20. But now, we have added a number of extra features to allow you to get the most from the fonts you use.

  22. New for version 3.6 is the character map. A feature which is unique to Fontastic.
  23. The character map shows you all the characters for any given font.
  24. You can also copy formatted text directly from Fontastic.

  26. Every time you click on a character, it appears in the in two text boxes at the bottom of the screen.

  28. This allows you to create words or even sentences in the font that you require.

  30. To copy just one character, select "Copy single character". 
  31. To copy the contents of the larger text box, select "Copy multiple characters".

  33. Now hit the copy button.
  34. The text you have chosen is stored in the Windows clipboard.
  35. This can now be pasted into almost all word processors and DTP packages.
