  1. Installation notes for the Trial Version of ED for Windows
  2. ==========================================================

  4. The Trial Version of ED for Windows contains several files
  5. packed into one ZIP file. After unzipping you can install
  6. directly from your hard disk, or copy the individual files to
  7. floppy disks and install from the floppies.
  8.  
  9. We recommend installing from floppies, as this gives you a backup
  10. copy should you need it.
  11.  
  12. The ZIP file and its contents can be deleted from your hard
  13. disk after either copying to floppies, or installing from your
  14. hard disk.

  17. Installing from floppies:
  18.     1) Unzip the archive into a temporary directory and copy each
  19.        Install.??? file to a separate 3.5" floppy disk. Label each
  20.        disk as you go. Install.exe goes on Disk 1, Install.w02
  21.        on Disk 2 etc.
  22.     2) Place Disk 1 (Install.exe) into the floppy drive.
  23.     3) From Window 3.x Program Manager go File|Run a:Install
  24.        From Windows 95 or NT4 go Start|Run a:Install
  25.     4) Follow the steps presented by the Installation program
  26.     5) Delete the Zip files from the temporary directory.

  29. Installing from a hard disk:
  30.     1) Unzip the archive into a temporary directory.
  31.     2) From Window 3.x Program Manager go File|Run [path\]Install
  32.        From Windows 95 or NT4 go Start|Run [path\]Install
  33.      * [path] is the name of the temporary directory containing
  34.        the files from step 1.
  35.     3) Follow the steps presented by the Installation program
  36.     4) Delete the Zip files from the temporary directory.
