A useful general purpose Web graphics tool for composing and optimizing vector and bitmap graphics for the Web, including animated GIFs. Webster can import ready-made graphics in a wide range of vector and bitmap formats which can be combined and then scaled, rotated, colored and made to transparently fade (great for effects such as soft shadows). The images can be anti-aliased and dithered to produce the best possible on-screen quality and yet can be kept compact by using color reduction and palette optimization. The CD contains a collection of hundreds of ready-made Web graphic images such as buttons, bullets, backgrounds etc. Unlike static GIF collections Webster allows you to personalise these so they can be any size, any angle, any colour, and with the exact text you want. The easy-to-use colouring system means you can alter the colour of complex shaded graphics with one click, while retaining all the correct shading and highlighting.
