  1. Welcome to the AApex King James Electronic Bible (Old Testament)

  3. This software is free for anybody to use on a 15 day trial basis.  After
  4. that time, we ask that you register the software with AApex Software
  5. Corporation.  For a $30 registration fee, you will receive the Old
  6. Testament AND the New Testament, as well as The Columbia Electronic
  7. Dictionary of Quotations, with over 18,000 quotations.

  13. INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE
  14.  
  15. 1) Unzip this file into a temporary directory on your hard disk.
  16.  
  17. 2) run the SETUP program from the temporary directory.  For
  18. example, if you unzipped these files into C:\TEMP:
  19.  
  20.         - Select FILE, RUN from your Program Manager
  21.         - enter C:\TEMP\SETUP.EXE
  22.  
  23. 3) Follow the instructions on-screen until the software is
  24. installed.  It may take 3-4 minutes for the software to install
  25. itself.  Once you have installed the software, you will see the
  26. King James Bible icon in the Master Series group on your desktop.

  29. If you don't see an icon, you can manually add one to your
  30. desktop.  From Program Manager, select File, New, then Item.
  31. When you are prompted for a command line, enter
  32. "C:\AAPEX\AAPEX.EXE C:\AAPEX\BIBLE.LBR".

  38. Once the software is installed, the complete documentation is
  39. contained in the help file.  Load the King James Bible, and
  40. select Help from the menu.

  44. SEARCH HINTS
  45.  
  46. The quickest way to find bible verses is to use the Text Search
  47. feature; Select SEARCH, TEXT from the menu, or click on the
  48. magnifying glass icon.  The words you enter should be
  49. lowercase, but you can use logical operations such as AND, OR
  50. and NOT, which must be entered in uppercase. Matching words can
  51. be in the quotation, the author name, the citation, or anywhere
  52. on each screen.

  55. "commit AND adultery" finds "thou shalt not commit adultery".
