driver has better error correction so slightly faulty discs may play better, and has more efficient buffering, so Video for Windows movies play much more smoothly than before.
If you have a copy of the old driver (or aren't sure), click on the button below and the new driver will be added to your system in a directory called MSCDEX2.23. Your Autoexec.bat file will also be updated, but your old MSCDEX.EXE and the command in your Autoexec.Bat file remain unchanged, so you can always revert to the old driver if you choose. We strongly recommend you perform this upgrade, particularly if sound and videos break up or are jerky, as you should see a definite improvement over version 2.22.
