- WinAsks Professional 2.0 to use the following file types:
- - .WAV and .MID sounds
- - .AVI videos

-
-
- 1) Drivers for .WAV e .MID sounds
- -------------------------------
-
- If you have a properly installed sound card, MCI drivers for .WAV and .MID
- sounds should be already present on your system. On the contrary try to
- play a .WAV and a .MID sound file using Windows Multimedia Player. If you
- hear nothing, then check if your sound card is properly installed and, in
- case, contact your dealer. Instead if using Multimedia Player you hear the
- sound file correctly, while WinAsks Player shows an error message if it
- loads a questionnaire containing sound files, then follow instructions
- below:
-
- 1. In the WIN.INI file placed in the directory \WINDOWS, find section
- [Mci Extensions]. Add (if not already present) the following two rows
-
- wav=WaveAudio
- mid=Sequencer
-
- 2. Restart Windows.
-
-
- 2) Drivers for .AVI videos
- ------------------------
-
- If you're using Windows 3.x (not Windows 95) to use .AVI videos it's
- necessary to have the Microsoft Video for Windows kit installed. This
- program can be obtained freely from many fonts (ex. directly from
- Microsoft). After installation, if you still have problems follow
- instructions below:
-
- 1. In the WIN.INI file placed in the directory \WINDOWS, check if the
- following row exists (and in case add it):
-
- avi=AVIVideo
-
- 2. If you have added it, restart Windows
-
-
