ááAt certain times of the year the yellow-horned poppy produces flowers. These flowers attract insects. When visiting the flowers a yellow dust, called pollen, often sticks to the insect's body. The insects drop this pollen onto a special part of the flower. The flowers grow into seeds and fruits. New plants are produced from these seeds and fruits.
